Old San Juan: rum, cranberry & lime

I made this one because I bought some cranberry juice for a party we had. Either I added too much lime, or this drink really could do with an extra sweetener.

Ring for service.

How To Make: Old San Juan

French Martini: Vodka, Chambord & pineapple.

  • 50ml of gold or amber rum
  • 25ml of cranberry juice
  • 35ml of freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Garnish with a wedge of lime
  • Preferred glass would be a cocktail glass

Shake the rum, cranberry juice and lime juice with ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Run the lime wedge around the rim of the glass, squeeze it over the drink and plop it in.

I find this drink to be much too sour, so I add a dash of agave syrup or strop de gomme to sweeten it.
