- 50ml of vodka
- A glug of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- A dash of Tabasco
- A glug of Worcestershire Sauce
- A dash of horseradish
- A dash of tawny sherry
- Top with tomato juice
- Preferred glass would be a highball, or pint glass, rimmed with steak seasoning
- Garnish with a stick of celery and ground pepper
An ideal drink for the kickoff to a weekend lunch.
Prepare the glass:
Rub a slice of lemon around the rim of the glass and dip it into a plate of steak seasoning so that the grains coat the lip of the glass. Drop the lemon into the glass and fill with ice.
Mix the drink:
Add the vodka, Tabasco, Worcestershire Sauce, lemon juice, and horseradish in the glass, and then give it a good stir to mix it all up. Top with the tomato juice. Stir it some more.
Finish with the garnish:
Add a stick of celery, and perhaps a straw. Float a dash of sherry on top, and then finish it off with freshly ground pepper.
How to drink:
Avoid the straw to begin with, and drink straight from the rim of the glass, in order to get the steak seasoning, sherry & pepper introduction. Then work your way around the seasoned rim with each sip as you work through the cocktail.
