- 25ml of Gin
- 25ml of Jaegermeister
- 25ml of Martini Rosso, or any Sweet Vermouth
- A dash of Angostura Bitters
- A dash of Maraschino cherry juice
If you've ever spent any time backstage at a gig, you'll usually fine some gin and a bottle of Jaegermeister. For most rock bands, a sacred ritual is the shot of Jaegermeister just before hitting the stage. I've always wondered what a Negroni would taste like if you substituted Jaeger for Campari. Now I know. I bring you the Backstage Negroni.
Stir everything together with ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Pop some Maraschino cherries in there for garnish.
As ghastly as most people make Jaeger out to be, it is nothing compared to the face-melter of the amaro family, Campari. If you need extra kick, consider adding a dash of that, or just make a classic Negroni instead.
Avoid any further bullshit.
