How To Make: The Fitzgerald
- 50ml of gin
- 25ml of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 25ml of sirop de gomme (sugar syrup)
- A dash of Angostura Bitters
- Preferred glass would be a cocktail glass
This cocktail is essentially a simple gin sour, but with the addition of aromatic bitters. It's such a clever move for the guy who invented this, take a simple classic cocktail and add one simple, yet dramatic thing, and "VOILA!" a brilliant drink.
Like any drink, this one can be made as simply or as detailed as you want it to be. For simples, chuck it together and chuck it down. For details, take your time and refine the steps. Whichever path you take, this drink needs no garnish.
Freeze the glass. Pour all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with lots of ice and hard-shake. Strain into the glass.
Open your nose. Drink.
